The SUMMIT Behavioural Activation (BA) Manual is a detailed guide on delivering a brief psychotherapy to pregnant and postpartum populations with depressive and anxiety symptoms. The manual was created for use by a diverse healthcare workforce, from frontline workers to specialist providers. It was adapted from two well-established source manuals—the Alma Program for perinatal populations in Colorado and the Healthy Activity Program (HAP) from Goa, India. Key strategies include: psychoeducation, behavioural assessment, values-based activity monitoring and structuring, interpersonal effectiveness, and problem solving.
